Each member of the executive team at Wine Opinions has over 20 years experience in wine market research. Before starting Wine Opinions in 2005, each of us directed wine market research at other companies. In the past decade at Wine Opinions, we have created unique and proprietary research resources that provide our clients with trade and consumer market intelligence and insights unmatched by other research firms. We count among our clients more leading wine producers, wine marketing companies, and wine trade associations around the globe than any other research provider.
John Gillespie, Founder and CEO
John is among the wine industry’s most prominent market research authorities. His career of more than 30 years includes leadership of Wine Market Council and establishment of Wine Opinions as the top provider of wine market research in the U.S.
Christian Miller, Consultant for Design & Analysis
Christian has been in the industry since 1983, and worked in brand management and directing research at both wineries and a CPA consulting firm. He holds an MBA from Cornell University, and co-directs the OIV Wine Marketing course at U.C. Davis.
Katie Griffitts, Qualitative Research Director
Katie has worked as an analyst for Nielsen and has her MBA and MS in Marketing from the University of Colorado. She directs Wine Opinions trade and consumer online discussion groups and performs data analysis and quality control.
